Dr. Jean Neely is a Korean American writer and educator. She is the author of the forthcoming book: Christ in the Abyss: Cultivating Deep Faith Amid Depression and Despair (NavPress, 2026). She writes at the intersection of faith and mental health, and her work has appeared in Sojourners, Inheritance Magazine, and Faith and Leadership. Jean loves coffee, literature, knitting, and listening to French podcasts. She appreciates contemplative spirituality and is an inquirer on the path toward becoming a Benedictine oblate.
