Unsearchable Things We Do Not Know

Unsearchable Things We Do Not Know

There’s something lost in technology. We can open an app and find that Scripture verse we learned in Sunday School and maybe the mind is a little more informed if we google the answer we’re looking for. There’s no joy of discovery after days in the library. We’ve even...

Who Teaches the Children

Who Teaches the Children

I heard a wise woman say, “When they’re young they Step on your toes. But when They’re grown they Walk on your heart.” Our children see things Differently With mature eyes we tell them What’s best Childish eyes push way Our guidance They will do What they will do We...

But Take Heart!

But Take Heart!

The past paralyzes, and the future is unknown.  My calendar captures future events as my “to-do” list increases with things I should have done yesterday. In the meantime, social media drags me down in the game of “what if”: The world will come to an end if democrats...

Christine Malkemes
I live in the sunshine state of Florida. I’m a wife of my husband, Bob, mother to two adult children, Matthew and Cheri, and an endearing friend. My past lives include enlisted (U.S. Army), civilian, military wife, and Army Officer. I’m retired and now a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God. Currently, I teach a six-month course on Spiritual Maturity and Discipleship at Living Water Fellowship, Kissimmee, Florida. I’m “well-worn book.” Here are pages of hope, chapters of sorrow, and paragraphs of unimaginable grace. After sixty years I’m still a work in progress. Each page reveals a little mystery, a love story, and splashes of humor. Don’t look away as you find pages marked with dog-eared chapter and tear smudged marks. Vulnerable, but true. God is the Author as we walk on this journey to the heart of God. Will you join me?
