Residing outside of San Francisco with her husband and four children, Aimee spends her days teaching, writing, drawing and caring for her menagerie of critters. As a trained veterinarian turned homeschooling teacher, animals have always captured a special place in her heart, family life and character-driven picture books. Where once she used to study and research wildlife from fleas to African Wild dogs to cheetahs, now the whimsy and wild are woven into her tales. Aimee is an active SCBWI, 12 x 12, Inked Voices, CBI member as well as a graduate of The Institute of Children’s Literature. She is currently pursuing illustration where she enjoys exploring collage/mixed media art and digital drawing.
