That day I turned around, and life had flown…
Whilst chasing dreams and children;
Both stumbling and soaring
in the search for holy significance.
Compassionately rescued from despair;
Gifted with a grace that accepts and extends;
Encouraged and loved.
Discovering serenity in silence,
and strength in surrender.
Filled, then poured out.
Heart broken, then mended.
Embracing creative words, life-giving music,
breathtaking beauty, and extraordinary people.
Walking with a limp, but still walking
Daily in God’s presence and power.
Beloved.
Learning to love everybody always.
Not a perfect life, more a passionate pursuit.
Here is what I know for sure:
We can live soul strong.
“Walking with a limp but still walking.” So good.
At almost-84 I can relate to this lovely word.
Lucinda,
I loved the phrase, “Not a perfect life, more a passionate pursuit,” as I remember trying for years to pursue the perfect life with not a hair out of place, making sure my smile was on straight before I’d leave my house.
It got easier when someone gave me the permission to be imperfect. Now if I could just remember this at times.
Lucinda, what a perfect way to show the many steps we take to the heart of our Lord. Limping from our humanness, but walking upright in His grace and love. Thank you for your rich words.
