Meadow Rue Merrill

Meadow Rue Merrill is an educator, award-winning author, and certified teacher-consultant with the National Writing Project. As a freelance writer for more than two decades, she wrote for regional and national newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and Down East magazine, where she served as a contributing editor. Her memoir Redeeming Ruth won the 2018 Maine Literary Award for memoir and a 2017 Christopher Award. Merrill currently teaches 9th and 10th grade English Language Arts.
