Julie Mc Elmurry
Julie McElmurry, MA, MS, wanted to share stories of her nun friends so she taught herself documentary filmmaking. She serves as the Program Manager for The D-Word and started the Unconventional Film School, a community-based filmmaking school for adults which filled 800 seats in 2019. In 2022, she was named a Fellow of the International Documentary Association.
