Cindy DeBoer is a blogger, psychiatric nurse, and recovering “unmissionary.” Cindy and her husband, Paul, are the parents of two sons, two daughters, two daughters-in-love, and grandparents to one perfect granddaughter. The DeBoer family’s rather unorthodox Christian journey led them to sell their dream home, leave lucrative careers, friends, family, and Little League, and move overseas to France and later, to nearly 100% Muslim Morocco. They didn’t consider themselves traditional missionaries, just choosing to live for Jesus where not many others do. In search of diversity upon returning stateside, Cindy and Paul moved to an under-resourced neighborhood in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her edgy blogs center on topics of faith, justice, living abroad, and life with a terminal illness. You can find her at: cindydeboer.com
